Resolved that report CAO-24-02, Proposal to Create a Business Succession Planning Toolkit, dated June 6, 2024 be received; and 1. That the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee implement a Business Succession Planning program that identifies local small businesses without a succession plan, and develops a toolkit to help these small businesses plan for future transition in ownership and/or management; and 2. That GEDAC endorses Staff’s application to FedDev Ontario.

Resolved that report CAO-24-03, The Grimsby Business Ambassador Program – Terms of Reference, dated June 6, 2024, be received; and 1. That the proposed Business Ambassador Action Plan as outlined in Appendix A be approved; and 2. That Town staff be authorized to implement the Ambassador Action Plan outlined in Appendix A; and 3. That GEDAC approve the Terms of Reference to initiate the recruitment of Business Ambassadors as outlined in Appendix B.
