Resolved that the delegation of Maria Brigantino, Manager Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention, Niagara Region Public Health, be received for information and it is recommended that Grimsby Town Council support the Niagara Region’s proposed By-Law to regulate smoking in public places.

Resolved that the Minutes of the Grimsby Public Art Gallery Advisory Board meeting of Feb. 7/13 be received for information.

Resolved that the Minutes of the Mayor's Youth Action Committee meeting of Jan. 8/13 be received for information.

Resolved that the 2013-2014 Recreation Services Rates and Fees Report DRS13-03 be received and that the proposed 2013-2014 Rates and Fees (Schedule ‘A’) be approved and incorporated in the 2013 Operating Budget approval process.

Resolved that the Seniors Art Classes: Introductory Drawing and Painting Proposal Report DRS13-04 be received and staff be authorized to develop the program, commencing in April 2013 to be offered as a trial program for evaluation at the end of 2013.

Resolved that the Recreation, Facilities & Culture 2013 Budget Report DRS13-05 be received and that the following Recreation, Facilities & Culture Budgets be approved and included in the consolidated budget presentation to the Administration and Finance Committee for consideration in the 2013 overall Town Budget: 1. The 2013 Parks/Recreation Programs Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $1,355,570 and a levy amount of $1,008,780. 2. The 2013 Peach King Centre Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $1,671,140 and a levy amount of $895,240. 3. The 2013 Grimsby Lions Pool Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $191,260 and a levy amount of $124,510. 4. The 2013 Senior Citizens Centre Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $229,470 and a levy amount of $110,970. 5. The 2013 Pump House Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $30,570 and a levy amount Page 4 of 5 Recreation Services Committee February 26, 2013 of $16,570. 6. The 2013 East Grimsby Community Centre Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $6,400 and a levy amount of $6,400. 7. The 2013 Park Shop Operating Budget showing a gross expenditure of $21,440 and a levy amount of $21,440. 9. Resolved that the Recreation Committee go into a Closed Session under Section 239.(2)(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality or local board.  Park Planning – Community Recreation Sports Complex
