Bentley; Resolved that Report DPW14-19, dated March 27, 2014, regarding Contract for 2014 Catch Basin Cleaning be received; and further, that the two-year quote from Flow Kleen Technology for catch basin cleaning at the 2014 unit price of $15.50 (HST excluded) and the 2015 unit price of $15.73 (HST excluded) be accepted.

DiFlavio; Resolved that Report DPW14-20 dated April 9, 2014 regarding the ‘Annual Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS) Operational Plan Re-endorsement’ be received by Town Council for review and that this report and the following recommendations be approved: - that Council endorse the current revision of the DWQMS Operational Plan, included with this report as Appendix ‘A’; and - that Council re-endorse the DWQMS Policy statement, included with this report as Appendix ‘B’; and - that the Mayor be authorized to execute Section 3.0 of the DWQMS Operational Plan endorsing the current revision of the document; and - that the Public Works Department be authorized to submit the executed DWQMS Operational Plan to the Ministry of Environment and the DWQMS Accreditation Body.

Bentley; Resolved that Report DPW14-21 dated April 7, 2014 regarding the ‘Grimsby Water Distribution System Financial Plan Update, March 2014’ be received by Town Council and this report and the following recommendations be approved: - That Council endorse the report titled ‘Grimsby Water Distribution System Water Financial Plan’ prepared by DFA Infrastructure International Inc. in March 2014; and - That the Public Works Department be authorized to submit the report to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

DiFlavio; Resolved that correspondence from the Waterfront Regeneration Trust, dated March 27, 2014 regarding the proposed 460 km Greenbelt Cycling Route incorporating Ridge Road East and Ridge Road West within the Town of Grimsby portion be received and that the Town of Grimsby hereby support this alignment through the Town and further that staff be authorized to install the signage provided at an estimated cost to the Town of less than $1,000.

Bentley; Resolved that the correspondence received to request use of Town Roads be approved by Council for the following 2014 events: Peachbud 5 & 10 K Race - June 24; Ironman - Grimsby Triathlon - July 27; Desjardins Le Grand Tour 2014 - August 8; Irongirl Canada Triathlon - August 10; subject to all required permits, insurance requirements and notifications to emergency services etc. be received prior to the event date; and further that the two-hour closure of Park Road from Ridge Road to Bell Avenue from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014 be approved subject to advance notice signing.

DiFlavio; Resolved that the GDIA minutes of February 18, 2014 be received as circulated and filed for records purposes.
