Resolved that the agenda for the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee meeting of December 8, be approved, as amended, as follows: • To move item 6 b) Draft Designation Research Report – 8-10 Ontario Street to after the delegations

Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee receive the delegation of Burt Peeters

Resolved that the Draft Designation Report - 8-10 Ontario Street be received; and That the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee recommends that 8-10 Ontario Street be designated under Section 29, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act; and That the notices of intention to designate be issued.

Resolved that Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee receive the status and activity sheet for information.

Resolved that Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee approve the 2021 meeting schedule.

Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee recommends that the following properties: 104 Main Street East, 130 Main Street East (Danish Lutheran Church), 141 Main Street East (Christmas Cottage), 147 Main Street East, be designated under Part IV Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act; and That a Notice of Intention to designate be issued in accordance with the Act.

Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee recommends that the Draft Designation Report – 224 Main Street East (Udell House) be received; and That the property designation by-law be amended to add significant attributes.

Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee receive the Draft Report Main Street East Proposed Heritage Conservation District By-law and Study; and Whereas Section 40.1 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.O.18 authorizes the Council of the Municipality to undertake a study of any area of the municipality for the purpose of designating one or more heritage conservation districts; and Page 4 of 6 Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee December 8, 2020 Whereas on February 18, 2020, Council of the Town of Grimsby approved the "Main Street East Cultural Heritage Landscape or Heritage Conservation District Study" in its 2020 budget; and Whereas the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee provides Council with advice on identifying, conserving and promoting heritage within the Town of Grimsby; and Whereas the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee deems it desirable and expedient to initiate a Heritage Conservation District Study; Now therefore be is resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee formally submits to Council the attached draft By-law, recommended for approval, designating the Main Street East Heritage Conservation District Study Area in accordance with Section 40.1 of the Heritage Act. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Grimsby hereby enacts as follows: 1. Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee receive the written delegation from IBI Group with reference to the Main Street East Proposed Heritage District Conservation By-law and Study.

Resolved that the Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee receive the correspondence with reference to the resolution of support – proposed regulations under the Ontario Heritage Act (Bill 108).
