Resolved that the Council meeting minutes of May 16, 2016 be approved.

Resolved that the delegation of Alan Goddard, member of the Grimsby Fund Advisory Committee and Bryan Rose, Executive Director of the Niagara Community Foundation with reference to plans for Canada's 150th celebration be received.

Resolved that the delegation of Doug Mepham, Director of Grimsby Auxiliary Marine Rescue Unit with reference to an update to Council be received.

Resolved that Report FCR 16-05 dated May 1, 2016 with reference to the Grimsby Fire Department facilities recommendations and strategy be received and that the recommendations be approved for implementation.

Resolved that Report P.A. 16-19 be lifted from the Planning & Development Committee meeting minutes of May 24, 2016 for separate consideration.

Resolved that Report P.A. 16-19 regarding the designation evaluation for the Lawrence House at 61 Main Street East be received; And that the Lawrence House at 61 Main Street East does not meet the criteria for designation of under the Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act; And that the Lawrence House at 61 Main Street East be documented through photographic archival recording prior to demolition by a Member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals; and That the existing ocular window and eave brackets be removed prior to demolition and kept by the owner in a location that is clean and dry so that these elements can be incorporated in the future building's design upon construction of the new commercial building; and That it is recommended that the existing staircase be removed prior to demolition and kept by the owner in a location that is clean and dry so that the staircase - either in whole or in part - can be incorporated in the future building's design upon construction of the new commercial building, or that the staircase - either in whole or in part - can be offered to the Grimsby Museum as part of the collection.

Resolved that the Planning & Development meeting minutes of May 24, 2016 be approved as amended.

Resolved that the Recreation Services meeting minutes of May 24, 2016 be approved.

Resolved that the Committee of Adjustment meeting minutes be received and filed.

Resolved that the correspondence from The Brandee Elliott Education Projects be received and that June 7, 2016 be proclaimed as Good Citizenship Day in Grimsby.

Resolved that leave be given to introduce By-law Nos. 16-34 and 16-35 inclusive and that same be read a first time.

Resolved that leave be given to introduce By-law 16-34 and 16-35 inclusive read a first time be now read a second and third time and finally passed; and that the Mayor and Town Clerk do sign and seal the same; any rule contrary notwithstanding.
