Resolved that the agenda for the September 11, 2025, Grimsby Green Advisory Committee meeting be approved.

Resolved that the minutes from the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee meeting of July 10, 2025, be received.

Resolved that the verbal update from staff regarding bike rack locations be received for information.

Resolved that the Microforest Project verbal update be received for information; and 1. That staff report back on the feasibility of undertaking efforts to remediate phragmites in the waterway at Lakelawn Park before the end of 2025; and 2. That staff report back on the feasibility of beginning terrestial plantings at Lakelawn Park before the end of 2025; and, 3. That this motion be included in the Council Endorsement Package for Council approval.

Resolved that the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee recommend that the following municipal parks be included among others as sites for the planting of trees purchased using the microforest project grant funding: Pinewood, Victoria Terrace, Merritt, Denick, and Kingsway; and 1. That this motion be included in the Council Endorsement Package for Council approval.

Resolved that the Green Energy Workshop verbal update be received for information; and 1. That the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee ask staff to report back on the feasibility of including money to fund a tree giveaway event in the 2026 budget; and 2. That this motion be included in the Council Endorsement Package for Council approval.
