Planning Development Committee

Resolved that Report P.A. 19-06, regarding the 2019 Planning Department operating budget with a gross amount of $819,330 and a levy amount of $333,210 and that the 2019 Planning Capital Budget with a gross amount of $6,400 and a levy of 0 be approved for consideration in the 2019 Consolidated budget; That the 2019 Economic Development Budget with a gross amount of $38,270 and a levy amount of $33,270 be approved for consideration in the 2019 Consolidated Budget and that, staff clarify and report back on the costs and any or supportive revenue funds associated with the Welcome Centre at Committee of the Whole; That the 2019 Heritage Conservation Budget with a gross amount of $30,360 and a levy amount of $30,360 be approved for consideration in the 2019 Consolidated Budget.

Resolved that Report DBE-19-3 dated March 11, 2019 be received and the Building Department 2019 Operating Budget with a gross amount of $665,000.00 and a levy amount of $0 and the 2019 Capital Budget of $33,000 be approved and forwarded to the Administration and Finance Committee for consideration in the overall budget.

Resolved that Report DBE-19-4, dated March 11, 2019, be received and the By-law Enforcement 2019 operating budget with a gross amount of $242,780.00 and a levy amount of $176,780.00 be approved and forwarded to the Administration & Finance Committee for consideration in the overall budget.

Resolved that the Planning Report P.A. 19-04 regarding a proposed Amendment #1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017, be received.

Sharpe; That Planning Report P.A. 19-05 regarding Regional Official Plan Amendment (ROPA) No. 15 be received.

Resolved that the minutes of the Grimsby Heritage Advisory Committee of March 5, 2019, be received as information.

Resolved that, the Planning & Development Committee appoint Councillor D. Sharpe as Vice Chair to the Planning & Development Committee.

Resolved that the Planning & Development Committee go into Closed Session under Section 239(e) of the Municipal Act, regarding matters involving litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals affect the municipality or local board - 29 Oak Street & 33 Victoria Terrace

Resolved that the Committee return to Open Session.

Page 6 of 6 Planning & Development Committee March 12, 2019 Resolved that the Planning Report P.A. 19-07 regarding the Town's appeal of Minor Variance Application A-2/17, 29 Oak Street be received. And that, Planning Staff be directed to withdraw the appeal of Minor Variance Application A-2/17, 29 Oak Street on behalf of the Town.

Resolved that Report GH 19-02 be received; And that, the Committee recommends to Council that the Acting Director of Planning be directed to withdraw the Notice of Intention to Designate that was issued on August 2, 2018, under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act for the building at 33 Victoria Terrace following the formal withdrawal of all objections to the designation that were submitted to the Town during the statutory objection period; And that the Committee recommends that Council delegates all required authority to the Acting Director of Planning to carrying out the aforementioned withdrawal of designation.
