“RESOLVED, That Report DPW09-17 dated March 23, 2009 regarding the Town’s Traffic By-law; 89-2000, Schedule ‘W’– Speed Limits be received and that the recommended fourteen (14) roadway speed limits listed within this Report be deleted from Schedule ‘W’ of By-law 89-2000 and further that By-law 91-59 (Lake Street and Ontario Street – 40 kph) also being repealed.”

PWC09-06-440019: 2009 Watermain Rehabilitation Contract for Stewart Street, Lorne Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Murray Street, Stanley Avenue, Rodney Avenue, Cottage Avenue and Garden Drive II. PWC10-06-440019: 2010 Watermain Rehabilitation Contract for Forest Road, Wood Lawn Drive, Main street East and Casablanca Boulevard be received, and that the Director of Public Works be authorized to award the design, contract administration, and on-site supervision to Philips Engineering Ltd. in the total estimated amount of $81,130.00.”

RESOLVED, That Report DPW09-19 dated April 7, 2009 regarding the Award of Contract PWC02-320040 Book Road (South) Road Reconstruction be received, and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to the low bidder, Centennial Infrastructure (Niagara) Inc., in the tendered amount of $148,060.00 and further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents."

"RESOLVED, That correspondence dated October 3, 2008 from Instride Productions Ltd., Jerry Friesen, regarding the Grimsby Peachbud 10k, 5k and 1k Races to held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 and the Casablanca Classic 8k and 2k Races to be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 and further, that the correspondence dated December 15, 2009 regarding the Niagara Triathlon to be held Sunday, August 9, 2009 be received, and that the event be approved subject to the applicant notifying the emergency services, and advertising the race schedule and route in the two local newspapers at least one week prior to the event.”
