Public Works Committee

Resolved that Report DPW12-12, dated March 30, 2012, regarding Award of Contract PWC12-52130-A, Purchase of One (1) New 2012 Full-Size 4- Door Extended Cab Pickup Truck (7,000 lbs. GVWR) be received; and further, that the quote from Performance Chrysler Dodge Jeep, in the amount of $19,463 (HST excluded) for one (1) new full-size 4-door extended cab pickup truck, as per the 2012 Capital Fleet Budget, be accepted.

Resolved that Report DPW12-13, dated March 30, 2012, regarding Award of Contract PWC12-52130-B, Purchase of One (1) New Combination Dump Body/Spreader Single Axle Truck Complete With Reversible Plow and Wing be received; and further, that the bid from St. Catharines Truck and Tractor Repair Co. Ltd., in the amount of $177,859 (HST excluded) for one (1) new combination dump body/spreader single axle truck complete with reversible plow and wing, as per the 2012 Capital Fleet Budget, be accepted; and further, that the trade-in offer of $12,000 for Unit #175 submitted by Metro Freightliner Hamilton also be accepted.

Resolved that Report DPW12-14, dated March 30, 2012, regarding Award of Contract PWC12-52130-C, Purchase of One (1) New 2012 Dump Truck (16,500 lbs. GVWR) be received; and further, that the quote from Brock Ford Sales Inc., in the amount of $39,228 (HST excluded) for one (1) new dump truck (16,500 lbs. GVWR) as per the 2012 Capital Fleet Budget, be accepted.

Resolved that Report No. DPW12-15 dated April 4, 2012 regarding Sunflower Subdivision – 381 Murray Street, Final Subdivision Approval be received and that Schedule 'F' (Financial Obligations and Cost of Construction) and Schedule 'I' (Special Provisions) as attached to this report be approved and that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the Subdivision Agreement and all necessary documents, all subject to the Developer first completing the following outstanding items to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works:  Completion and signing of all approved engineering plans,  Approval of Noise Attenuation Study, and further, that the Developer be approved to pre-service the subdivision at his own risk subject to first obtaining all necessary agency approvals and meeting the Town's Standard Pre-Servicing Conditions.

Resolved that the Director of Public Works contact the representatives of Losani Homes expressing the concern of the members of the Public Works Committee with regard to the slow progress of the resolution of the Sumner Crescent noise concerns.
