Grimsby Green Advisory Committee

Resolved that the agenda for the March 20, 2024, Grimsby Green Advisory Committee be approved.

Resolved that the minutes from the February 21, 2024, Grimsby Green Advisory Committee be received.

Resolved that the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee recommend the deferral of the Draft Public Tree by-law until the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee on April 17, 2024.

Whereas the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee was established during the last term of Council with its first meeting on January 29, 2020; and Whereas the current Grimsby Green Advisory Committee's first meeting was held on June 1, 2023; and Whereas it has come to the attention of the current Grimsby Green Advisory Committee there may be resolutions in effect that directly relate to our committee's mandate; and Whereas not to replicate the past efforts of the previous term of the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee; and Whereas one example of a previous motion GGAC-21-51 "Proposed logos for the GGAC were approved and will be forwarded to Council for their endorsement. Thank you to all who contributed to the logos' creation." Therefore, we the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee ask Council to request staff bring forward a report of past motions and resolutions that relate to the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee mandate as referenced in our Terms of Reference to our next Grimsby Green Advisory Committee meeting on April 17, 2024. Further, if there is a problem with this motion, it is brought back to our Committee as soon as possible for review. Be it further resolved that this motion be brought to Council in the Council Endorsement Package for approval.

Resolved that the Grimsby Green Advisory Committee support the following notices of motions put forward by Councillor Vardy to Council:  Establishment of a Micro Forest on Town Property in Honour of Earth Day  Planting a Micro Forest on Land for the New Water Reservoir in Grimsby
