Bentley; Resolved that Report DPW15-11 dated February 27, 2015 regarding the 2015 Public Works Department Budget be received and that the recommended Budgets contained therein be approved and that a Page 2 of 5 Public Works Committee March 11, 2015 2.0% increase in the Town’s Water Rates; an increase in the Equipment Self Rental Rate of 11.0%; a 7.0% increase in Cemetery Rates Charges and Fees and a 1.0% increase in the Sanitary Maintenance Levy Rate, all be approved, and that the Capital Forecast Budgets presented herein be approved in principle, and further, that the following Public Works Budgets hereby be approved and forwarded to the Consolidated Budget Meeting for consideration in the 2015 overall Town Budget. 1. The Transportation Services Capital Budget in the total expenditure of $6,783,500 with a Net Expenditure of $1,061,000; 2. The Transportation Services Current Budget in the total expenditure of $2,862,500 with a Net Expenditure of $2,633,300; 3. The Liquid Waste Capital Budget in the total expenditure of $2,470,000 with a Net Expenditure of $0; 4. The Liquid Waste Current Budget in the total expenditure of $5,071,390 a Net Expenditure of $0; 5. The Water Works Capital Budget in the total expenditure of $2,524,000 with a Net Expenditure of $0; 6. The Water Works Current Budget in the total expenditure of $5,758,000 a Net Expenditure of $0; 7. The Queen’s Lawn and Grimsby Mountain Cemeteries Capital Budget in the combined total expenditure of $58,000 with a Net E

Resolved that the Director of Public Works be authorized to start up the Turbine/Cogen facility starting the 1st of November 2015 to approximately March 2016 and further, that he provide cost quotations from qualified contractor(s) to identify the costs to start up the turbines and further, that we add $40,000 to the Town Hall Administration Budget.

Kadwell; Resolved that Report DPW15-12, dated February 26, 2015, regarding Iroquois Trail Dedication as Public Highway on Town 0.30m Reserve being Block 18 on Plan 30M-186 and Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5 on Plan 30R-13547 be received; and the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to sign a By-Law dedicating Block 18 on Plan 30M-186, and Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5 on Plan 30R-13547 as Public Highways; and further, that the By-Law be registered under The Land Titles and Registry Office.

Kadwell; Resolved that Report DPW15-13 dated March 2, 2015 regarding the ‘Release of Construction Lien Holdback for Contract PWC14-06- 400032 George Street, James Street, North Service Road(s), South Service Road, Kelson Avenue, Watermain Replacement be received and that the Director be authorized to release the 10% Construction Lien Holdback amount of $126,754.78, plus HST to Trenchline & Page 4 of 5 Public Works Committee March 11, 2015 Roads Inc. and further that $25,350.96, plus HST be retained to guarantee works for one year from the date of substantial completion and upon correction of any deficiencies, the Director be authorized to release the $25,350.96 plus HST.

Bentley; Resolved that Report DPW15-14 dated March 9, 2015 regarding the Award of Contract PWC15-02-320090, Downtown Gateway Banner be received and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to Schilthuis Construction in the tendered amount of $107,840.00 (excluding H.S.T.) and further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents.

Resolved that the correspondence from the Niagara Region regarding the Notice of Study Completion for the Grimsby Water System Storage Location Municipal Class EA be received as circulated information and filed for records purposes.
