RESOLVED, "That Grimsby Skate Park Re-Naming Report DRS11-10 be received and that the park be re-named the Shayne Armstrong Memorial Grimsby SK8 Park as per the Town of Grimsby’s Policy for Naming of Parks, Sports Fields and Recreation Facilities”.

RESOLVED, "That the Roof Restoration – Peach King Centre/Filtration Building Report DRS11-11 be received and further that the quotation in the amount of $188,900 plus applicable taxes from BML Roofing System Inc. for the flat roof restoration work be accepted as per the 2011 Capital Budget”.

RESOLVED, "That the correspondence from L. Jankiv, Exec. Director, DIA, dated May 16/11 requesting a Jazz & Wine event in Coronation Park be received for information and approved subject to the Town of Grimsby's Municipal Alcohol Policy."

RESOLVED, "That the Helping Grimsby Become Green document, authored by Niagara College students Kevin Robertson and Whitney Meyer, be received for information and forwarded to the Public Works Department for their review and consideration."

RESOLVED, "That the Recreation Services Committee go Closed Session to discuss a land matter under Section 239.(1)(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality or board."  Sports Complex

RESOLVED, "That the Recreation Services Committee return to Open Session."

RESOLVED, "That Report DRS11-12, Community Recreation and Sports Complex Update Report # 2 dated May 31, 2011 be received and that the recommendations contained within the report be approved.”
