“RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-23 , dated September 11, 2008, regarding Award of Contract PWC08-52130-A, Supply of One (1) New 2009 Combination Dump Body/Spreader Single Axle Truck Complete with Reversible Plow and Wing be received; and further, that the quote from Altruck International Truck Centres (Hamilton), in the amount of $183,296.52 (includes PST, GST extra) for one (1) new 2009 International Dump Truck with body and plow equipment, as per the 2008 Replacement Fleet Capital Budget, be accepted; and further, that the trade-in bid from Tuddenham Enterprises for the Town’s 1997 International Dump Truck, Unit #163, in the amount of $12,260 be accepted.”

"RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-24, dated September 30, 2008, regarding Contract for 2008-2009 Supply of Salt for Winter Control - Tender 2008-T-29 Bulk Sodium Chloride be received, and further, that staff be authorized to purchase winter salt from Cargill Limited for the 2008/09 winter season at a cost of $53.12 per tonne plus applicable taxes as per Regional Tender 2008 T-29."

"RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-25 dated October 3, 2008, Kitto Boulevard Road Extension Construction Approvals and Development Agreement be received, and that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the Development Agreement and all related documents for the construction of approximately seventy meters (70m) of public roadway and sewer/water services from Cline Mountain Road westerly and that a By-Law be prepared dedicating an additional turning circle right-of-way as Town Public Highway and registered in Land Titles, all subject to the Owner first completing the following outstanding items to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works: - Completion and signing of all approved engineering plans - Provision of Final registered 30R-Plan for lands to be dedicated as Public Highway and drainage easement - Transfer of ownership of an existing 0.30m Reserve located to the west of Kitto Boulevard (PIN48042-0324 (LT)) to the Corporation of the Town of Grimsby by the Owner to be included as Public Highway.”

"RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-26, dated October 7, 2008, Page 2 of 4 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE October 15, 2008 regarding Contract for 2008 - 2009 Supply, Treatment and Stockpiling of Screened Sand for Winter Control be received, and further, that staff be authorized to purchase winter sand from Waterford Sand & Gravel for the 2008/09 winter season at a cost of $21.52 per tonne (PST included), as per Regional Tender 2008-T-30."

"RESOLVED, That Report No. DPW08-27 dated October 7, 2008 regarding the Assumption of Municipal Services for Evergreens Subdivision – Phase 2 and Phase 3 be received, and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to release the current Letter of Credit in the amount of $52,963.75 for Phase 2 and $10,000.00 for Phase 3, and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue the Final Certificate of Completion of Services, and further, that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary Roadway Assumption By-laws.”

"RESOLVED, That the Notice from the Niagara Region regarding the Commencement and Public Information Centre for the Class Environment Assessment - Baker Road Pollution Control Planning Study be received for information and filed."
