Committee of the Whole

Resolved that the agenda for the Committee of the Whole Meeting of November 2, 2020 be approved.

Resolved that the September 22 and October 20 Committee of Adjustment minutes be received.

Resolved that the Committee of the Whole hereby approves the following items and that the various consent items be approved on the recommendations as contained therein: a) *Report DRS20-09: Special Events 2020 Information Report Resolved that Report DRS20-09 dated November 2, 2020 be received for information.

Resolved that Report FIN20-16 dated November 2, 2020 be received; and That Committee authorize an extension of the Grimsby Power Inc. promissory note for one (1) year with a revised due date of February 1, 2022.

Resolved that the Verbal CAO Report regarding the request for West Lincoln Memorial Hospital funding from Niagara Region be received.

Resolved that staff be directed to develop a process which will give council a set of guidelines for the purpose of evaluating requests for donations and/or other concessions from charities, non-profit, individuals, organizations or entities.

Resolved that Report DRS20-08 dated November 2, 2020 be received; and That Committee support the preferred location of Casablanca Beach Park – East Beach for a future accessible beach mat; and That staff proceed with design work for this project.

Resolved that the correspondence received with reference to Recognizing January 2021 as Crime Stoppers Month be received; and That the Committee proclaim January 2021 Crime Stoppers Month.

Resolved that the correspondence under Administration and Finance with reference to Double Direct Councillors, Request Province of Ontario to Investigate the Level of On-Site Licensed Nursing Care - Private Sector Retirement, Support Resolution from the Municipality of Tweed, Cannabis Production Facilities, the Cannabis Act and Health Canada Guidelines; and That the correspondence under Parks, Recreation and Culture with reference to Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games; and That the correspondence under Planning and Development with reference to A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe be received.
