Planning Development Committee

Resolved that Report P.A. 17-14 regarding a site plan application by Kanga Storage for a self-storage facility at 265-271 Kerman Avenue be received; And that the application be approved subject to the conditions cited in Appendix "A" to this report in addition to the following amendments. 1. That the landscaping be enhanced south of the southerly entrance to include a board fence to screen the site; and 2. Architectural elevations of the office building being enhanced to the satisfaction of the Planning Director; And that a by-law be passed that authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to sign the development agreement on the Town's behalf.

Resolved that Report P.A. 17-15 regarding zoning amendment application by Brite Developments Inc. for the removal of holding provisions, 22 John Street be received and that the application be approved. Further that the draft by-law attached to the report as Appendix "A" be passed.

Resolved that Report P.A. 17-16 regarding a review of Section 5.9 of Zoning By-law 14-45, as amended be received and that no action be taken regarding Section 5.9 of Zoning By-law 14-45 as amended.

Resolved that Report P.A. 17-16 regarding a review of Section 5.9 of Zoning By-law 14-45, as amended be received and that staff be directed to initiate a zoning amendment application to prohibit the parking of oversized vehicles in yards abutting a public road.

Resolved that the Planning & Development Committee go into Closed Session under Section 239(e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunal affecting the municipality or local board - Oversized Trailers

Resolved that the Planning & Development Committee return to Open Session.

Resolved that the minutes of the Grimsby Economic Development Committee meeting of April 6, 2017 be received and that the recommendations contained therein be approved.
