“RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-06 dated April 2, 2008 regarding Russ Road Extension and Development Agreement for Construction be received and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the necessary agreement(s) for the road construction, and that upon completion of the roadway extension construction to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works, the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to register Russ Road as a Public Highway over Part 1 and Part 2 and over the northerly 120 metres of Part 3 all of Plan 30R-12952 and over Part 1 and Part 2 of the future 30R Plan (dedicated turning circle lands).”

“RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-10 dated April 9, 2008 regarding The Town of Grimsby Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS) – Implementation Plan; Interim Report #1 be received by Town Council for information and that this Report and the following recommendations contained therein be approved: Ø Implementation Recommendations – Table 3-1; Page 1 of 3 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE April 16, 2008 Ø Element Prioritizations – Table 3-2; Ø Town’s Organization Structure and Implementation Team – Section 3.2; Ø QMS Representative – new staff position (EHS Compliance Manager) – Section 3.2.3; Ø that the Town submit our Operational Plan under the “Limited Scope-Entire DWQMS” option with the completion of “DO” component for Element 7 – Risk Assessment by May 1, 2009 – Section 3.5; Ø that the Director of Public Works be appointed the Top Manager of the Town’s Drinking Water System; Ø that the Town Manager be designated the Owner (Council) Representative; Ø that the remaining twenty (20) “DO” Elements of the Plan be completed by May 1, 2010 with a separate Financial Plan to be initiated and completed by November 1, 2010; and further; that the Town’s DWQMS POLICY, objectives be approved as proposed.”

"RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-11, dated April 10, 2008 regarding the Award of Engineering Services for project PWC08-06-440018 – Park Road South, Bell Avenue, Tuer Avenue, Deer Park Court, Oriole Crescent, Hazelwood Avenue, Gibson Street and Patton Street Watermain Rehabilitation and Watermain Abandonment’s on Christie Street, St. Andrew’s Avenue and Livingston Avenue; and, PWC08-04-400013 – Gibson Street and Patton Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement be received, and that the Director be authorized to award the design, contract administration, and on-site supervision to Kerry T. Howe Engineering Limited in the total estimated amount of $76,800.00.”
