Resolved that the minutes of the June 20, 2011 Council meeting be approved.

Resolved that the minutes of the Special Council meeting of June 29, 2011 be approved.

Resolved that the delegation of Michael Grosman along with correspondence with reference to 5 Doran Avenue, Grimsby, be received.

Resolved that the Ice Resurfacer Replacement - Peach King Centre, Report DRS11-13 be received and further that the quotation in the amount of $82,715. plus applicable taxes for a 2011 Olympia Millennium from Resurface Corp. be accepted as per the 2011 Capital Budget.

Resolved that the Council of the Town of Grimsby lift Resolution #PD11-43 from the June 28, 2011 Planning & Development Committee minutes for separate consideration.

Resolved that PD 11-43 regarding Report PA 11-19 from June 28, 2011 Planning Committee meeting minutes regarding an application for zoning amendment, 5 Doran Avenue be received and that the application be approved subject to a minimum side yard amendment of 1.7m on the east side and 6.5m on the west side. Further that the By-law attached to the report as Appendix ‘A’ as amended be forwarded to Council for approval.

Resolved that the minutes of the Planning & Development Committee meeting of June 28, 2011 be approved with the exception of lifted motion PD11-43, which was

Resolved that the Committee of Adjustment minutes of July 12, 2011 be received and filed.

Resolved that correspondence from Other Municipalities be received.

Resolved that Council meet in Closed Session under Section 239 (2)(b) of the Municipal Act 2001, personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees -To review applicants for the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee

Resolved that Council return to Open Session.

Resolved that the following Lay member be appointed to the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee (GEDAC) for Council's Term of Office, 2010-2014  Frank Nafekh

Resolved that leave be given to introduce By-laws 11-43 and 11-44 and same be now read a first time.

Resolved that By-laws 11-43 and 11-44 just read a first time be now read a second and third time and finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk do sign and seal the same any rule of the Council to the Contrary notwithstanding.
