Administration Finance Committee

Resolved that the presentation to the Administration & Finance Committee by Alderman M. Seaborn and Alderman N. DiFlavio regarding a request for paperless committee agendas and minutes be received.

Resolved that Report FIN 14-01, 2014 Interim Tax Levy and Tax Rates, dated January 2, 2014 be received; and, That a by-law be prepared authorizing the taxation rates as set out in Schedule "B"; and, That the interim levy installment due dates be set as March 7th and May 2nd, 2014.

Resolved that Report FIN 14-02, 2014 Borrowing for Current Expenditures, dated January 2, 2014 be received; and That temporary borrowing arrangements in the amount of $5,000,000 be approved; and That the Town Clerk be instructed to prepare the necessary by-law.

Resolved that Report FIN 14-03, 2014 Fidelity Bond Coverage dated January 2, 2014 be received; And that the insurance policy be deposited with the Treasurer and be made available for inspection by members of Council.

Resolved that Report TC-14-01 dated January 3, 2014 be received; and, That the Administration & Finance Committee recommend to Council an alternative voting method - Internet and telephone electronic voting for the 2014 Municipal Election.

Resolved that Report TC-14-02 dated January 8, 2014 be received and that the attached By-law to adopt a Marihuana Grow Operations Protocol be approved.

Resolved that Report FCR-14-01 dated January 7, 2014 with reference to the Grimsby Fire Department 2013 Annual Report be received.

Resolved that the memorandum to the Administration & Finance Committee from the Town Manager dated January 10, 2014 regarding Council Code of Conduct be received and
