Page 2 of 4 Public Works Committee October 10, 2012 Resolved that Report DPW12-37, dated October 2, 2012, regarding Contract for 2012 - 2013 Supply, Treatment and Stockpiling of Screened Sand for Winter Control be received; and further, that staff be authorized to purchase winter sand from LaFarge Canada Inc. for the 2012/13 winter season at a cost of $18.29 per tonne plus HST.

Resolved that Report DPW12-38 dated October 4, 2012 be received and that Branthaven Development Corp., the developer for Bravo Phase 2, be allowed to Preservice the Winston Road Sanitary Sewer prior to Site Plan Approval, at the Developer's sole risk and subject to the Town's standard Preservicing conditions.

Resolved that Report DPW12-39 dated October 9, 2012 regarding Project Award - Jacobs Landing Fence Replacement be received and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to the low bidder, Stevensville Lawn Service Inc., in the quoted amount of $41,975.00 and that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract and further that the funding for this project be obtained from the Subdivision Administration Reserve.

Resolved that Report DPW12-40 dated October 10, 2012 regarding the ‘Release of 10% Construction Lien Holdback for Contract PWC12-02- 400002, Sanitary Sewer Service Lateral Replacement’ be received and that the Director be authorized to release the statutory holdback amount of $8,711.72, plus HST to Vic Vatrt Contracting Limited and further that a 2% Maintenance Guarantee in the amount of $1,742.34 plus HST be retained to guarantee works for one year and upon satisfactory rectification of any deficiencies, the Director be authorized to release the $1,742.34 plus HST.

Resolved that Notice of Public Study Commencement for the NEC Crossing Study Class EA posted by the Region be received for information and filed for records purposes.
