Committee of Adjustment

Resolved that the Minutes of the Committee of Adjustment meeting of July 24, 2012 be approved as circulated.

Resolved that Submission A-16/12 by Kevin Suddes, to allow for a 1.8 metre high fence with a zero metre setback from the street line in a Rural (RU) Zone at # 391 Nelles Road North, Grimsby, be granted approved with conditions for the following reasons: 1. The Variance is minor in nature. 2. The intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law is maintained. 3. The proposal is desirable for the appropriate development of the land. Page 3 of 4 Committee of Adjustment August 21, 2012 Subject to the following conditions: a. That the gates and supporting posts not exceed 2.5 metres in height.

Resolved that Submission A-07/12 by Wayne and Annette Vanderhorst to allow for the construction of a third storey onto an existing two storey dwelling, with an existing front yard setback of 6.3 metres, be amended to reflect the 5.9 metres setback as shown on the originally circulated survey of April 4, 2012 by A.J. Clarke and Associates Ltd., at # 5 Margaret Avenue, Grimsby be granted for the following reasons: 1. The Variance is minor in nature. 2. The intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law is maintained. 3. The proposal is desirable for the appropriate development of the land.

Resolved that members Herbert Nobes and Paul Settimi be authorized to attend the OACA Fall Seminar in Peterborough, Ontario, September 28, 2012.
