Resolved that Report DPW11-40, dated November 18, 2011, regarding the Final payment and Release of the Ten Percent Construction Lien Holdback for Contract PWC11-02-320003, Surface Treatment Program 2011 be received and that the Director be authorized to release the Final Payment and Ten Percent Construction Lien Holdback in the amount of $24,538.86 in favour of Norjohn Contracting and Paving Limited.

Resolved that Report DPW11-41 dated December 8, 2011 regarding Region of Niagara Transfer of Road Jurisdiction within the Town of Grimsby – North Service Road and Clarke Street be received and the following road jurisdictional transfers be enclosed and approved by Grimsby Council effective the date of passing of the Regional By-law: 1. That the Town of Grimsby assume jurisdiction for the North Service Road from the Regional Boundary to Olive Street; and, 2. That the Region of Niagara assume jurisdiction for Clarke Street from Christie Street to Nelles Road.

Resolved that Report DPW11-42 dated December 7, 2011 regarding the Award of Tender PWC12-02-361462 Street Lighting Maintenance be received and that the Director be authorized to award the Contract to Ground Aerial Maintenance Service Ltd. in the total tender amount of $51,345.43 (corrected) and further, that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents.

Resolved that Report No. DPW11-43 dated December 12, 2011 regarding the Assumption of Municipal Services for Lakeside Village – Sidare Court be received; and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to release the current Letter of Credit in the amount of $120,557.00; and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue the Final Certificate of Completion of Services upon completion of the relocation of the chain link fence within the Town’s watercourse land, and further, that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary Roadway Assumption By-law.
