Transit Investigation Committee

Bothwell; Resolved that the Transit Investigation Committee recommends that the presentation from Dennis Kar, Dillon Consulting, concerning updates to the Transit Investigation Study Final Report be received; And that the revised Transit Investigation Study Final Report be forwarded to Council for consideration; And that the Committee’s preferred option is as follows: • 18 month pilot project; • Contracted service and buses; • Free ridership during the pilot project; Page 3 of 3 Transit Investigation Committee October 26, 2017 • Phase 1 routes as identified by the consultant; • 30 minute and 60 minute options of service. And that the final report be accompanied by a staff report containing options for phasing, funding and property tax impacts, developed in conjunction with the Town Finance Department. And that the Transit Investigation Committee be maintained as a Town of Grimsby Committee until the completion of the pilot project.
