Administration Finance Committee

Resolved that the deputation by James Detenbeck and Tony Quirk, Grimsby Energy Inc. with reference to Town Hall Peach King Turbines, be received; and That approval be granted to proceed with the proposal by Grimsby Energy Inc. to complete design and commission two 65kW Micro turbines for integrated cooling, heat and power for the Peach King Centre and Grimsby Town Hall subject to the provision of satisfactory financing predicated on the savings realized from each building being applied to the acquisition; and That the financing as described be satisfactory to the Director of Finance, the Town Manager and the Director of Recreation, Facilities and Culture; and That no costs of this project be assigned to the Town Hall Redevelopment Budget.

Resolved that Report FIN 10-04 dated January 19, 2010 regarding the 2010 Annual Repayment Limited (ARL) respecting long-term debt and financial obligations be received.

Resolved the Report FIN 10-05 dated January 20, 2010 regarding the 2009 Statement of Remuneration and Expenses for Members of Council be received for information purposes.

Resolved that Report FIN 10-06 dated February 1, 2010 regarding the 2010 Insurance Renewal and Retroactive Assessments be received; and That the Director of Finance/Treasurer proceed to complete a Request for Proposal for the Town's Insurance Liability, Automobile, Property, etc. .

Resolved that Report FIN 10-07 dated February 7, 2010 with reference to the 2010 Photocopier System Operating Budget be received, and that the gross amount of $50,500 with no impact on the levy be approved for consideration in the 2010 consolidated budget.

Resolved that Report TM-10-02, Town of Grimsby Pandemic Contingency Plan dated January 12, 2010 be received and the subject plan dated January 12, 2010 be approved.

Resolved that Committee meet in Closed Session to consider a labour relations matter, pursuant to Section 239 (2)(d) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

Resolved that Committee return to open session.

Resolved that Report TM-10-03 be received and that Town Hall be closed for the period December 27, 2010 to December 31, 2010; and That members of Staff governed by the Documents of General Working Conditions (Salaried) (Management) be granted the time away; and That Management Staff paid at an hourly rate be excluded; and That those staff subject to outside facility requirements be subject to corporate requirements; and That it be noted that, the time described is comprised of statutory holidays and vacation.
