Cruickshank; “RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-30 dated October 23, 2008 regarding Lake Street – Traffic Calming Measures and 2008 Speed Reduction Review be received for information and that the recommended Traffic Calming criteria be approved.”

"RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-31 dated October 29, 2008 regarding the Final Payment and release of the Ten Percent Construction Lien Hold Back - Contract PWC08-320002 - Hot Mix Paving Program 2008 be received, and that the Director be authorized to release the final payment and the Ten Percent Construction Lien Holdback to Rankin Construction Inc. in the amount of $79,451.59 and further release the 2% One Year Maintenance holdback in the amount of $12,856.60 when the one year maintenance period expires on August 14, 2009 in favour Ranking Construction Inc."

Page 2 of 5 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE November 12, 2008 Kadwell; "RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-32, dated October 29, 2008, regarding Award of Contract PWC08-52130-B, One (1) New Full-Size Pickup Truck 1500 Series be received; and further, that the tender bid from Forbes Ford Sales (Grimsby), in the amount of $17,750.99 ($16,436 with $1,314.88 PST) plus GST, for one (1) new 2009 Ford F150 Pickup Truck be accepted, and further, that the bid for the trade- in (Unit #172) from Wills Chevrolet Ltd. for $3,800 be accepted."

Kadwell; "RESOLVED, That Report DPW08-33, dated October 30, 2008, regarding the Final Payment and Release of the Ten Percent Construction Lien Holdback – Contract PWC07-320002, 2007 Hot Mix Paving Program and Contract PWC07-02-320031 Lake Street Traffic Calming and Bicycle Lane Widening Contract be received, and that the Director be authorized to release the final payment and the Ten Percent Construction Lien Holdback to Norjohn Contracting & Paving Limited in the amount of $177,438.68 and further that the 2% One (1) Year Maintenance Holdback in the amount of $30,168.61 be released when the One (1) Year Maintenance Period expires on November 16, 2008, subject to all deficient items being rectified to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.”
