Resolved that the Southward Community Park – Soccer Field Naming Report DRS16-15 be received and that the community park’s main soccer field be named the ‘Martin Poos Family Field’ in honour of Martin Poos and his family, as per the Town of Grimsby’s Policy for Naming of Parks, Sports Fields and Recreation Facilities.

Resolved that the Southward Community Park Building Tender Opening Report DRS16-16 be received and that the low tender in the amount of $1,150,000 plus applicable taxes for contract RFC2016-F1 – Southward Community Park Building from Brouwer Construction Ltd., be accepted, and further that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to sign the necessary contract documents.
