Public Works Committee

Resolved that Report DPW17-05 dated January 17, 2017 regarding the 2017 Public Works Department Budget be received and that the recommended Budgets contained therein be approved and further that, a 4.5% increase in the Town’s Water Rates; a 3.5% increase in the Sanitary Maintenance Levy; a 1.0% increase in the Equipment Self Rental Rate; a 6.4% increase in Cemetery Fees and Rates Page 2 of 4 Public Works Committee February 14, 2017 Charges and Fees - except for Columbarium Rates and Fees which shall remain at the 2016 levels; all be approved, and further, that the Capital Forecast Budgets presented herein be approved in principle, and that the following Public Works Budgets amounts hereby be approved and forwarded to the Consolidated Budget Meeting for consideration in the 2017 overall Town Budget. 1. The revised Transportation Services Capital Budget in the total expenditure of $12,222,600 with a Net Expenditure of $1,114,000; 2. The revised Transportation Services and Administration Building Current Budget in the total expenditure of $3,419,420 with a Net Expenditure of $3,137,920; 3. Resolved that the Public Works Committee recommends Report DPW17-06 dated February 7, 2017, regarding 2016 Annual DWQMS Infrastructure Review Report be received by Town of Grimsby Council for review and information.

DiFlavio; Resolved that the Public Works Committee recommends Report DPW17-07 dated February 7, 2017, regarding the 2016 Annual DWS Water Quality Report be received by Town of Grimsby Council for review and information.

Resolved that the Public Works Committee recommends Report DPW17-08 dated February 10, 2017, regarding the ‘2016 Annual Drinking Water System Municipal Summary Report’, be received by Town of Grimsby Council for review and information.

Dunstall; Resolved that the Public Works Committee recommends Report DPW17-09 dated February 7, 2017, regarding RQMS Annual Infrastructure Review Report be received by Town of Grimsby Council for review and information.

Resolved that Report DPW17-10, dated February 6, 2017, regarding Supply and Delivery of One (1) Trackless Boom Flail Mower Attachment be received; and further, that the sole source quote from Work Equipment Ltd. of Courtland, Ontario for $29,950 (plus tax) be approved.
