Resolved that Report DPW12-16 dated May 10, 2012 regarding the Award of Contract PWC12-03-411242, Sanitary Sewer Flushing & CCTV Inspection be received and that the Director be authorized to award the Contract to the low bidder, The Pipe Spy Inc. in the total tender amount of $42,276.05 (excluding taxes) and further that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents.

Resolved that Report DPW12-17 dated May 10, 2012 regarding Award of Contract PWC12-02-320003 Cold Mix Paving & Surface Treatment Program 2012 be received and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to the Norjohn Contracting and Paving Limited in the tendered amount of $374,266.63 excluding H.S.T. and further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents and further, that the Director be authorized to carry out the additional work as recommended.

Resolved that Report DPW12-18 dated May 10, 2012 regarding the Award of Contract PWC12-02-320002, Hot Mix Paving Program 2012 be received and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to the low bidder, Associated Paving & Materials Ltd. in the tendered amount of $491,495.00 (excluding H.S.T.) and further that the Director be authorized to carry out the additional work as recommended and further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents.

Resolved that the DIA meeting minutes of March 15, 2012 be circulated for information and filed.

Resolved that the correspondence of March 7, 2012 from Sabina Labonte, Co-Chairperson for the Grimsby Festival of Art requesting approval to hold their event and road closure of Nelles Boulevard on Saturday, September 8, 2012 be received and authorized by the Committee subject to Certificate of Insurance naming the Town of Grimsby as co-insured, resident and emergency notification and confirmation of special duty officer for traffic control and road closure requirements through the Town's Operation Centre.

Resolved that the correspondence received from Instride Productions Ltd. dated October 6, 2011 to request approval for the Tim Hortons Peachbud 1K, 5K and 10K Races on Town roads scheduled Tuesday, June 26, 2012 subject to all notifications, insurance and applicable permit requirements be received prior to the event.

Resolved that correpondence received from Dave Mucyk of Ironman World Endurance Canada dated October 31, 2011 to request approval for the Grimsby Triathlon Race on Town roads scheduled for Sunday, August 12, 2012 subject to all notifications, insurance and applicable permit requirements to be received prior to the event.
