Public Works Committee

Resolved that Report DPW16-24 dated July 4, 2016 regarding the Award of Contract PWC16-02-320101, West End Trail, Phase 3 be received and that the Director be authorized to award the contract to the low bidder, Original Greenscapes Landscaping Inc. in the tendered amount of $113,135.83 (excluding H.S.T.) and further that the Director be authorized to carry out the additional work as recommended and further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorized to execute the contract documents.

Bentley; Resolved that Report DPW16-25 dated July 6, 2016 regarding the Release of the 10% Construction Lien Holdback and the 2% One Year Maintenance Holdback – Contract PWC15-02-320101, West End Trail Phase 1 & 2 (Oakes Road Parking) be received, and that the Director be authorized to release the 10% Construction Lien Holdback in the amount of $47,284.44 when due and further release the 2% One Year Maintenance Holdback in the amount of Page 3 of 5 Public Works Committee July 13, 2016 $9,456.89 when due on January 15, 2017 to Stevensville Lawn Service Inc.

Kadwell; Resolved that Report DPW16-26 dated July 11, 2016, regarding Parking Restrictions and Time Limits for Lakehouse Subdivision (Street A) and Hunter Road be received and that the following Parking Restrictions and Time Limits be approved and included in the Town’s Traffic By-law No. 89-2000; (see attached Schedule ‘C’ and Schedule ‘E’ Parking Restriction Lists); and further that Schedule ‘A’ (Stopping Prohibited) be amended by deleting the following: Highway Side From To Times/Day Winston Road Both Windward Dr. Hunter Road Anytime

Dunstall; Resolved that Report DPW16-27 dated July 12, 2016 regarding the Assumption of Municipal Services for Cherrywood Estates be received; and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to release the current Letter of Credit in the amount of $338,722.00; and further, that the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue the Final Certificate of Completion of Services upon receipt of the as-built grading plans and survey evidence plan; and further, that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary Roadway Assumption By-law.

Resolved that Report DPW16-28 dated July 12, 2016 regarding the Watermain Replacement – Kelson Avenue at North Service Road be received and that the low quotation of $78,500 from Nexterra Substructures Inc. be approved.

Resolved that the Grimsby DIA minutes of May 17, 2016 be received as circulated and filed for records purposes.
