Resolved that the Council meeting minutes of April 7, 2014 be approved.

Resolved that the delegation of Stephen Barker and Pat Jaskula with reference to a request to declare Dog Guide Day, May 25, 2014 and Grimsby Purina Walk for Dog Guides be received.

Resolved that the delegation of Chantal DiFlavio, Program Chair for the Arts from Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School with reference to Blessed Trinity's Musical "The Wiz" and Blessed Trinity Rankin Relay be received.

Resolved that the Grimsby Public Library Board meeting minutes of March 13, 2014 be received.

Resolved that the Planning & Development Committee meeting minutes of April 15, 2014 be approved.

Resolved that the Committee of Adjustment meeting minutes of April 15, 2014 be received and filed.

Resolved that the Public Works Committee meeting minutes of April 16, 2014 be approved.

Resolved that the correspondence from Niagara-on-the-Lake dated April 15, 2014 with reference to Police Services Costs be received.

Resolved that the correspondence from Stephen Covey, President Operation Lifesaver dated April 4, 2014 with reference to a request to declare April 28 - May 4, 2014 as Public - Rail Safety Week be received.

Resolved that the Council of the Town of Grimsby observe a National Day of Honour with a concurrent moment of silence at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Town Hall to mark the end of our country’s military mission in Afghanistan.

Resolved that leave be given to introduce By-law Nos. 14-34 to 14- 38 inclusive and that same be read a first time.

Resolved that Council go into Closed Session under Sec. 239(2)(d) of the Municipal Act, 2001, labour relations or employee negotiations - Grimsby Fire Department, Fire Prevention Staffing and Succession Planning

Resolved that Council return to Open Session.

Resolved that the Administration & Finance Committee minutes of April 14, 2014 be approved.

Resolved that leave be given to introduce By-law Nos. 14-34 to 14- 38 inclusive read a first time be now read a second and third time and finally passed; that the Mayor and Town Clerk do sign and seal the same any rule of Council to the contrary notwithstanding.
