Administration Finance Committee

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council: 1. That Report FIN 18-24 dated August 13, 2018 regarding Elimination of Tax Free Allowance For Municipal Council be received; and, 2. That Town Council selects option _____ in response to the federal government’s elimination of the municipal council one- third tax free allowance.

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council: 1. That Report FIN 18-25 dated August 13, 2018 regarding the 2018 Authorization To Issue Debentures be received; and, 2. That Town Council authorize the Regional Municipality of Niagara to issue debentures through Infrastructure Ontario on behalf of the Town of Grimsby in an amount not to exceed $3,967,200., repayable over a term not exceeding twenty (20) years to finance the capital works listed in Schedule “A”; and, 3. That a by-law be enacted authorizing the Regional Municipality of Niagara to issue debentures through Infrastructure Ontario on behalf of the Town of Grimsby.

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council: 1. That Report FIN 18-26 dated August 13, 2018 regarding the 2017 General Statement of Operations be received; and, Page 3 of 4 Administration & Finance Committee August 13, 2018 2. That the 2017 budget surplus of $45,207.32 be transferred into the Budget Contingency Reserve.

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council that Report FIN 18-27 dated August 13, 2018 regarding the 2017 Reserve and Reserve Fund Balances be received.

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council that Report FIN 18-28 dated August 13, 2018 regarding the 2018 Statement of Capital as at June 30, 2018 be received.

The Administration & Finance Committee recommends to Town Council that Report FIN 18-29 dated August 13, 2018 regarding the 2018 Statement of Operations as at June 30, 2018 be received.
