Resolved that report FIN-23-31, Delegated Authority for Processing of Tax Write-Off Applications, dated October 26, 2023 be received; and 1. That Council delegate authority for the processing and approval of Tax Write-Offs under Section 356, 357, 358, and 359 of the Municipal Act to the Director of Finance/Treasurer and/or their designates; and 2. That Council delegate authority to the Assessment Review Board with respect to applications made under subsection 357 (1) (d.1) for applications related to sickness and extreme poverty; and 3. That a by-law be prepared to delegate this authority, and that a certified copy of the by-law be provided to the Registrar of the Assessment Review Board.
